THE PROMISE

The Sun on the wane casts a watery glow

A faint ray of hope calls in the field

The LAMBS plaintive cry forges comfort from woe

As Mother responds with comfort shield

The Breeze across the land gently ripples in the trees

A faint breath of life stirs in the world

The hope of all of us is reflected in the frieze

Of two birds in the branch together curled

The gems of water on the grass, reflect and change the light

A man and beast look on; feel a peace within them stirred

The font of Nature takes and moulds; without the use of might

As Life's great secret stands revealed

THE PROMISE OF TOMORROW HEARD
