DAFFODILS AND MARCH HARES

I wandered lonely 'cross the Plain

The Black Years thrall enclose us both

In shade of Stones for Light Year lain

Soul's Dark Night dreams withdraw in sloth

But there in yonder Field arise

The captured Sunsets hold their Head

In Lights of Beauty from the skies

A graceful dance by Moonbeam led

The Daffodils they dance and sway

And there the Box of March Hare prance

In Buttery dance of Sun's own Ray

The Reds and Whites of Lovers dance

Now on my inner eye is told

The lisp of Love that can't grow cold
